Hi everyone! Just finished up a new kitchen knife that I hope you all like :)

This one is a 250mm k-tip gyuto or kiritsuke. The damascus I made using an 88 layer blend of 1095, 1084, and 15n20. I press laddered the billet to give it that very organic wavy look which was inspired by the suminagashi on traditional japanese knives. This blade has a really nice even taper that goes from 1/8" at the handle all the way down to a wicked thin 3/64" at the top of the k-tip. This allows the blade to slice like a laser and remain very light and agile despite its length. The heel is about 2" tall and allows ample room for your knuckles to clear the cutting board. Both the spine and choil have been rounded for comfort, which I have found to be particularly useful if you are a fan of pinch gripping your knives. The handle is a modern take on traditional Japanese octagonal wa handles and features an excellent cut of stabilized yellow box elder burl topped with an African blackwood bolster. The handle has been buffed to a nice shine. Here are some pictures and video of the knife:

I'm asking SOLD for this blade and it ships free in the US. If you live outside the US just let me know and I'll figure out a shipping plan that works for both of us :)
There's no saya currently, but I can make a beautiful matching wood saya for an extra SOLD
Please let me know what you think of the blade too! I am always looking for ways to improve my craft and your comments are welcomed and appreciated!
If you have any specific questions or are looking for a custom order you can feel free to DM me or shoot me an email at yozakuraforge@gmail.com

Thanks for looking, hope everyone has a great evening!
