Deals for 6/13 --Pix, Spear Vala, Samsher, Baby BAS and great buys

Someone save me from myself and buy that Foxy Folly. Beautiful handle and blade - and I've been itching to get a smaller, "fighter" kukri. My bank account might suggest otherwise...

Buy it.

I've bought 4 in the past couple weeks including such a Foxy Folly and I'm thinking about it. Go for it.

You notice how we all help each other with our burning desires that we really can't afford.

I'm thankful I got a full size and a mini Foxy Folly. I could use some help avoiding that Spear Vala though.

No idea why I need or want it but I want it for sure.

Y'all are like the devil on my shoulder :P

So am I right in thinking that the FF is a slightly thinner, lighter kukri? Definitely interested in adding a fighter to my collection...

Yes, it is thinner and lighter than most HI models of comparable length, even with the wide blade.

Oh yeah! Much lighter and more nimble, thinner too.

If this is your first time being right, congratulations. I'm still waiting for my first time being right, been a mighty long wait but I'm confident it'll happen some day.

Here is a pick that shows the spine of my 12" 12oz FF by Purna.

That's beautiful Mateos - STOP TEMPTING ME

The only thing to be aware of (if you are not already) is that the handles on the smaller HI knives are somewhat proportional. I use my 12" FF as a general purpose/camp knife. You can see here that my hand fits the handle, but barely. I'm 6' tall with pretty normal sized hands (not the bear paws that some have...[emoji3]). The FF is an awesome knife and I kick myself for not picking up a big brother for my 12". I'm a sucker for anything with fullers...

I purchased a 9" baby CAK for a friend a while back, so I'm familiar with the handle proportions, but thanks for the pictures. I'm 6'2" with relatively large hands as well, but I really liked the feel of that baby CAK. There might be something to be said for the smaller HI kukris.

I love fullers too - I have a 17" Dui Chirra by Sher - beautiful and very heavy. Sharp as anything too. Still, I prefer the balance and handling on my 16" WWII. I definitely went from preferring the chiruwa handles over the wood ones to vice versa. Much better handling IMO

Your not completely armed unless you got a Spear Vala! Especially a Giant Purna Vala!;)

Luopo, please let us know how the TC feels and moves. I like the weight to length and width it has.

Mateos, both my wife and I love and use the heck out of our Kumar Kardas.
