Defunct Blade Shapes/Styles and Other Historical Oddities, Peculiarities, and Rarities

For the longest time I thought a corn cutter was for removing the corn from the cob. Lol
Howdy, Ted!

🤣 It does a decent job at that too, but you'll want to thoroughly disinfect the blade first. 🤣

You've got a good memory, Jack. I've posted about the knife a few times before.
Only for knives I reckon buddy, and who knows how long that'll last! 😱🤣 It was one of those fascinating, but obscure, details my brain seems to be able to hang onto! 🤣😉👍
Name corrected! You'd think I would remember - you've corrected me before!! 😲 🤷‍♂️
I don't mind if you want to change the name Charlie, who'll notice?! 😁👍
Oh I can’t wait to get back home to NEPA someday, I got all kinds of defunct and discontinued blade styles.

Curses to you oh twisted winds of fate that has me 750 miles from my beloved knives.

When I get home, when ever that may be I’ll post up some examples I have. Great topic TG
You sound like Odysseus Ted! Hope you're doing ok my friend 🙂👍

I sure hope you didn't try using one of them for that! 😱

When I was working rebar on construction there was the straight wire on a spool to tie the rebar using pliers with cutter but then there was prefab wire with loops on each end were you put a small hook with spinner to quickly tie the rebar ,there was one guy that had the hook spinner on his pocket knife, now I don't ever remember seeing this again so I'm wondering if he had it modded or was there a rebar knife as the one I have not did a good job describing.
