The best one I have was made from a saw blade and it's pretty authentic in shape. I can't remember who did it and the maker's mark is WM done with a vibrograver. It's not pretty but it does work .
My nessie from Mark is 1/8, but a quick google shows that he's made 1/16 Nessies before. I think it's interesting how many thick nessmuks there are being made... seems like more thick ones rather than thin ones. With the edges that Mark puts on his knives, one using thin stock would be truly terrifyingly sharp!
He's done several different nessmuk shapes, so you should take a look I'd think through the archives. Mine's barely a nessie, although I love it so much.
