Photos Did my first Villager Model removal of forging scale

I wrapped my villager in a towel soaked with apple cider vinegar, and it did an amazing job of removing the forging scale, and putting a nice patina on the blade! I love seeing the hammer marks, after the scale was removed. This is going to be my go to user for now on!

Turned out good. Amazing how quickly that vinegar does the job.
 
If those are the correct photos, then that vinegar cleaned the squiggly line right out of the "sword of shiva", and got rid of some other markings! o_O
 
Good eye Steve. Thinking there was a mix up there. KLVUK usually aren't marked either.
 
Oh sorry, I forgot to take a pick of the RKVUK before I did the vinegar soak. I took a pick of a just received KVUK friendship knife for a before pick.

Well you had me going but nothing gets past Mr. Tall. If I ever do anything worth doing I'm putting him in charge of quality control.
 
I was afraid for you using such a corrosive vinegar :eek:
