Dive Watches

I’ve been wanting a little bit smaller dive watch. I found a good deal on the Citizen’s Eco Drive Women’s Dive watch. I had no idea it was that much smaller! Lol.

nice. I like those mid sized divers.

yep they make a mid size now...think it's 37 or 36.5mm....to me it's more a classic man's size watch size. used to wear 34 and 36mm watches in the 60s and before and it wasn't weird. I like this size in a dress watch setup.

what I dislike is huge silly sized watches like 52mm as an example. it's like a hockey puck stuck on your arm.

I'm cool with antique watches being smaller sized but I typically use them as a dress watch.

Anything modern I like between 40-44. Anything larger than 44 is too much.

Watches seem to be trending in s.aller sizes now. There are a few new 38/36mm options for men I've been seeing.

talking dive watches...I'm okay with 38 up to 45 range. long as lugs arent too long and hang over my wrist. that's a big factor to me on big watches. ones with shorter lug to lug distances I don't mind.

dress watches I'm okay with even 33mm size wise visually....but my older eyes can't read as well, so bit bigger at 37 or 38 is easier for me to see quicker and without effort.

That explains how I messed up. I didn’t realize there were 3 sizes! Lol.

I had seen a comparison with a smaller ladies watch, and thought that was what I was ordering. I went from 44mm to 33mm. Thinking I was getting the one I saw which must have been the 37! 😂

Thanks for shedding light on it.

oh ya got the 33mm one. I thought it was the 36.5mm /37mm one. not a huge difference though. both work fine.

to me woman's watch means not only smaller diameter, but jewelry style and colors on dial, case and bracelet/strap.

these watches I just consider small, medium and large..... as they all look the same minus case sizes....

ny0040-17 one of my favorites. 42mm though but smallish dial, feels small in a good way.....ya can pick one up for low as 169 bucks now...if ya hunt around.....
That price is great. I paid over 300 for mine, and then the price plummeted after!

Same here but I'll say 41-44 is my preference. The Rolex sub at 40mm seems a bit "dainty" to me. As far as how it fits you and how it feels to wear it the lug length and shape has an affect on that too. I had a pilot watch that was about 47mm (Steinhart) and I liked it. I sold it but sometimes I wish I had it back. I think I liked the watch, it was the leather strap I didn't like so much. I had a dive watch that was I think 45mm (Armida) and I liked it too. The lugs were relatively short so it was comfortable to wear but the watch head was thick and the domed crystal stuck up quite a bit so it was the thickness that was a problem, not the diameter. I had a large Luminox Atacama field watch that was I think about 45mm. It had a 24mm bracelet and the entire combination was a bit heavier than I wanted.

That is true. This tuna is 46 or 47mm(ish) and wears perfectly fine because the lug to lug is so short. It's one of the most worn watches I have. It doesn't feel or look any larger than the skx size watches.

nice. these casino duros, I call them marlins, are some of the best bang for the buck out there.
I agree for the money you can get a sweet looking nice sized watch that is easy to switch out straps on.

I like mine very much. I wish the green bezel had a green face. same for the other non black bezels. i wish the faces matched.

THAT would be sweet.
