DMT rod defect?

With my lansky I know the importance of everything being straight.
Well my lanksy has finally worn out, so I wanted to get a DMT Pro. But at the store I noticed a slight warp in the rod right at the end. Is that warp normal or is it defective?

Are you talking about the rod on a diamond hone holder which swings 180 degrees to lock open.Then yes it should be as straight as possible.
