Do you actually read threads when you post?

Nick , dude....

Don't quit , pull your knife making stuff off Craigs List for crying out loud. This is no reason to quit knife making ! So what , you didn't make it onto American Idol this year , big friggin deal , you didn't make it the last 3 years...

dude , accept it , you can't sing !

And regardless of what those other guys tell you , there is no money in badger farming. Those lil bastids don't take well to being hit with a hammer , and badgermascus won't hold an edge ( pretty tasty though with proper seasoning ).

So , in short , just watch American Idol on TV like everyone else and sing along , go paint your little giant ( that's not quite what she calls it ) , put the bumper back on dad's truck....and just get out there and do it...

you go mayk knyff from lanmower blayd , you praty with manky in da jangl !!

You a knyff makr ! praty on !!

oh yeah , I will take number 413.

;)

That was me in the video!!! "Oh, my f'ing ass hurts sooooo bad!!!" :p :D

I think that a dillhole is the place you put a.... um... it rhymes with bilbo. ;)

I have an integral on my bench currently. Not the one you think, it's in the drawer with about 50 other blades.

If you have even skimmed this thread and think it's a stuffy thread full of snobbery.... well, then you might be right. What a bunch of stuffed shirts!!! :barf:

;) ;) ;)

who is Nick Wildo ?

Get back in the shop....

I read all the even numbered pages.

After reading what I could (between the laughing and the tears) I figgered this was the place to ask about the corn.

Do you use canned corn or corn on the cob? Do you have to cut the corn off the cob and let it dry? Can you use the stuff that comes in those neat little packages? Regular or theater? And what do you do about the corn popping out of the forge?

Actually the packs of Bird's Eye corn work best. That way you can just toss a brick on the fire when needed. Don't worry about thawing it, the forge heat thaws and dries it at the same time. I've never had much luck with the canned stuff, dang little things are like bombs when they pressurize! And the packs of microwave stuff are way too small. Not cost effective at all. I use any of the popped kernels that actually make it out of the forge in my canned damascus. Just collect up a handful and throw it in, eats up the oxygen and makes a stronger weld. Hope this helps.

They have "badger shows" wow... kinda like a dog or cat show but with badgers? That must be pretty cool to see.

Yeah, it's sort of like a rattlesnake rodeo... they round up all the meanest badgers they can find, and contestants try to stuff as many as they can into a gunny-sack in the specified time. Great fun!

Nevermind what John said about badger farming, he doesn't know doodly. You only use the teeth and claws for badgermascus, not the meat, duh!! And a knive made from that will out-cut anything this side of Excalibur.

Daveinvegas, I'll have some with butter and salt please.

Did I win yet?

Oh, my f'ing ass hurts sooooo bad!!! :p :D... ...What a bunch of stuffed shirts!!! :barf:

A) WAY too much information, bud!

B) I dislike stuffed shirts too. I hate it when you think a hottie has nice C-cups, buy her drinks all night and then find out later they're just mosquito-bite A-cups...

Took a quick run out to Nick's badger farm....

seems he may be onto something here....

he is converting badgers !!!

John, that first pic makes my... heart... swell with pride. You are forgiven. Chicks with swords are always cool, too.

So , if you see a shortage of Wisconsin badger cheerleaders , and Nick paints his lil giant red......well , you know where to look.

Just so you know who to look for in the WI area....

he works underground.... and goes by Billy ...

I'm sorry Nick
I didn't read this, could you re-write it again for me please :D:D
now I'll read the rest of the posts all over 100 of them..

haha I'm thinking kind of like the Colab thread we did years ago there was/is so many pages you just could not nor would not want to do that amount of reading.. just like I'm doing now posting before I read the rest of these...
guilty :) I'm on the first page right now :D

This isn't a rant, just a question/observation.

I've started to post this topic about 10 times and always end up deleting it.

In all fairness... it's quite understandable with Rob and Michael's EXTREMELY generous give away threads to just post up a number as soon as you read the thread title.

However, I see posts quite often that make it abundantly clear the poster didn't actually read any of the posts... if even the topic.

So are we all just that impatient?

I haven't read this thread, just skimmed the last page, and have a question. Did I win the contest, or was it the heat treat??

Holly Crap.. 3 hours and finally
I got to post 84 and then got lost

OK,,, I'm going to spend the rest of the day worrying about things I shouldn't worry about but want to any way, just to make myself miserable because I have nothing better to do ..but think about the short comings of others..
pet peeve
I say this only because it ticks ME Off that people that do have the gift of write flaunt it rather badly...
Is that what they teach in School now? that's sad....

for you guys that complain all the time about miss spelling..

look at it this way should you be looked down on because you can't make a knife as well as someone else?? why not? you should be able too as well as the other right?. you should know all the terminology that goes with it also, a word from higher then I whoops again, than I,,
pluck the rafter out of your own eye before you try to pluck a splinter out of someone else's eye.. not an exact quote but close..
Guys
try not to alienate members here,
they have every right to post as you do.. RIGHT? < spelling who-a I got it...

I do not have a problem with anyone's spelling or grammar , except for those ( especially knife makers ) who use knifes instead of knives.

When asking for help or suggestions from your peers , it is up to the person asking to phrase their post clear enough to be understood.

A post like this is difficult to follow :

it does make it hard to read and even follow their point when all the words run together and no punctuation is used because then it is one long blur of words and really gets hard to read and makes one less inclined to either help or provide input on the subject being discussed in the thread sometimes i wonder if they talk like that in real life and have perhaps dated my sister.

Same post cleaned up...

Nobody is looking for excellence , it would just be nice if it were easier to understand some poster's threads. Especially if they complain that they are misunderstood.

you know !
A knifes edge will need to be re-sharpened sometime if used enouph.. :)
