It would have to get pretty bad before I started eating dog or cat food.
A friend of mine told me he found a bag of snacks on the counter of his home that he thought was labeled pepperoni. He ate a few and he told me he thought they tasted a little waxy and bland. Closer examination of the bag revealed the label said Pup-peroni.
dog treats
I don't think I would have shared that.

This is easily remedied by eating the internal organs and eyeballs, which have plenty of fat.
kiahs, agreed, but just adding a caveat to this general rule: it depends on the size of the animals, size of the person/people eating them, environment (i.e. how many calories are expended to meet your needs), and several other factors related to caloric consumption. A person still can possibly fall short and continue the starvation.
Agreed. That's why a diet consisting mainly of rabbit should be supplemented with the occasional can of Alpo.![]()
I had an uncle die from eating dog food! My aunt gave the dog some canned food and put the rest on a saucer, covered it with Saran wrap and put it in the fridge. My uncle, thinking it was dip of some kind, ate it and died!
HOW DID HE DIE?
Later that evening he was sitting on the couch, licking his gonads and he fell off and broke his neck!
When the cat food runs out, I can always step outside and have some kitten-nuggets.

Yeah, they're tasty, but I can't stand hairballs.
