Dragonflies suck?

I HATE the pocket clip. The wire doesn't seal the deal for me. It's always loose, flimsy and this is the third time I had to tighten it. The best part is I only had it for nearly 3 months. By all means do I love the H1 on it, and the simplicity of it, but man, the clip sucks. Anybody else have issues with Spyderco's wire pocket clip?
 
I don't own a Dragonfly, but I do own a Superleaf and Chapparal and I've never had a single problem with the clip. In fact, Spyderco's wire clip is my favorite style clip.
 
I have got UK Penknife with a wire clip and I had to bend it slightly to make it tighter when new: no problems ever since!
 
Mine is fine. Yellow with H1 steel. No screw problems, but I removed the clip and carry it on my keychain. Try the weakest Loctite.
 
(a) Slightly bend the wireclip ends where it attaches to the screw
(b) Loctite blue to the screw

It will *never* be loose again.
 
I own a G-10 dragonfly and I love it! But I had the same problem..
The wire clip does get loose if your pants pocket is thick (ie. jeans pocket). however, now I took off the clip and just carry it like a gentleman's folder deep inside my pocket. :)
The clip is very strong though, but not very flexible. I think it's gonna be good with cargo pants. Jeans are just too thick. Even my Zebra-701 pen clip can't manage the thickness..

After a couple three months, through the course of normal EDC (I'm not wearing sweatpants), the wire clip on my Dragonfly became slightly bent and is at this moment too loose to use with any measure of confidence since there is a little gap between the clip and the scale. Of course I'll bend it back, but if it starts to get loose again under normal carry and use, the wire clip design and/or execution will have proven to be less than ideal, at least with a G-10 Dragonfly.
 
Had a Manix 2 Lightweight. Carried it every day for 2 weeks and never had any issues with the wire clip.

I dont have one personal but ive had friends complain about the same problem but they just put some loctite on it
 
never had a problem with my dragonfly. give spyderco a call i'm pretty sure they'll fix it for you
 
I actually prefer the factory spyderco wire clips to both the factory hourglass and aftermarket STR style Ti clips. If I could I would have one on every knife. I especially like the deep carry style wire clip on the dragonfly as opposed to the non-deep carry wire one on say the P'Kal.
