They make the 707 now (that's a 705). From what I've read, there were complaints of the handle being too thick for the size, so they went with the 707's aluminum with inlays and phased out the 705. The 707 is still an awesome knife and worth checking out.

That's what I heard although I have found the complaint to be untrue, I like the 705 myself :D

Any complaints on the jimping? I was really considering one of those.

It's really not as bad as I thought it would be. The jimping in the rear of the giant choil/cutout kind of irritates my middle finger if I grip it hard but that's about it. I def. recommend it. That m4 is good stuff, too:thumbup:

Nice. I loved the M4 on the Gayle Bradley. I have heard great things about Benchmades heat treat.

I agree, while it may be a bit thicker compared to some other knives this size I still find that it carries nicely in the pocket. The mini grip is slightly thicker and sometimes I feel its bulkiness a little more than when I carry my 705

I really like that! I don't imagine they are made anymore huh? Any specs?

Yeah, it is out of production now. Spec-wise the 705 and 707 really are pretty similar being right under 3 inches. I always felt the 705's blade profile is just a little bit slimmer than the 707, but I'm not too sure since I haven't handled a 707 in a while.

If you like the 710 and you're looking into a small knife, there's a good chance you'd enjoy one of these. It always feels like I'm just using a mini 710.
