I have an edc1 and I love it. This prefab shed kit I'm putting together is a real pos with twisted lumber and incorrect cut lengths. Several times I've used the edc to chisel off extra wood to get pieces to fit together. It's a great tool.
I did hit a staple pretty hard and chipped the blade, so I'll need to fix that, but it's still cutting just fine for what I'm doing right now.
Edit 11/16/2024: Turns out that the chip was just a roll. I was able to strop most of it back within about 5 to 10 minutes just using some green compound.
That is impressive. I hit that staple hard and at and angle. Any non-cpk knife that I've used would have certainly chipped. I don't think most non-enthusiast/uneducated knife users understand how crazy that is.
