No day-name theme here, just a knife I like a lot--my Rexford-designed ZT0801BW--in a finish I like a lot.
The wear-hiding effect of tumbling black or other coated finishes makes them very appealing which is why to seemed so odd to me that this knife came with a glossy painted black clip (with a white painted ZT logo on it to boot). I was initially quite pleased with my replacement MXG matte black deep-carry clip, but now find myself disappointed that its painted surface has proven quite soft and rolled off the edge without any great provocation. If I could find a black oxide clip for it I'd be greatly pleased as that finish looks much better and not unlike blackwash when worn or damaged. In the meantime, I've hit the bright spots with a black Sharpie just to take the curse off after discovering them while shooting pics today.
