EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Posting for yesterday, I went into my Russian drawer to make it a Cheburkov Frieze Friday while I cleaned up the wood shop a bit, finish sanded the cabinet doors, and got the first coat of polyurethane on them on the sheetmetal bench back in the house basement. It was also our youngest son's 36th birthday and I enjoyed watching the tracking as his present arrived at his door on the appropriate day in the next state, sending him the UPS delivery pic so he could beat the porch pirates to it, though it was certainly weighty and bulky enough to be safe.

I took some pics under the work lights in the shop that didn't show this knife off well, so I got some outdoors later in the day.

I like the handle milling on this one a lot, both for its appearance and its feel in hand. The big, cubic lanyard bead is a good match for the knife's look and coloration, and while it's beaten up the clip a bit I don't much mind as this has become the Cheburkov available for work duty.

Mummert titanium. Absolutely awesome clips. Hands down the best if you IWB with a belt IMO.

I believe I have @ferider to thank for turning me onto them.

Ok ....I think I need to start a new post, or look more? If I can't find one, I'll start a new one.

I want to like these clips. I want to use them.
I have a lot of questions about them, so I bought 2. A regular, and a reverse, just to see how to use them?

I still don't know?

Yes I understand carrying is very personal, and we are all shaped differently.

I'd like a post where people who carry show it worn. A picture is worth a thousand words.....

Are these clips just for looks?
They seem best for pocket carry. Is that what everyone is doing?

Visually, they look great. They are tight, and clean looking, but I haven't got them to wear right, yet.

I think I need a taller belt.
And If I start using them, I will have to redesign my sheaths. Personally I prefer edge forward, if I'm carrying between 3-6 o- clock. I would need more kant.

These are for IWB, right?
Or is the sheath supposed to be on the outside of the belt, dangling?

Any pics/opinions if you carry these?

Personally, I think they work best for inside waist band carry behind a belt, which is what I think they were designed for, and generally how I carry fixed blades. They are unobtrusive, and hook well under the belt with that upward return on the clip, but don’t think that would be great for pocket fabric alone. They are the best I have found for this method, seconded only by belt loops or UltiClips. UltiClips work better for grabbing onto fabric alone.

I concur

I think they should slot their bottom hole, to allow some cant. (Angle)

Having it so vertical feels really tight in my midsection, and I'm "fairly" fit.

Hot off the press.

Time to sell my other modern folders because I'll never need them again. Maybe not the recon 1. I like that one too much. Lol.

I'll tell you what.... If this is the S version, how chunky is the OG?? I'll bet it's a beast!

Meanwhile these are made right up the highway from where I live. Never realized that. I ordered it yesterday and it showed up today. Sweet. The green would have never been my first choice but it is really nice in person!

You made a statement here, why don’t you need modern folders any longer? Or are you referring to the blade pictured?

This is pretty much how I feel about mine. It’s just about as ideal as they get to me. It hasn’t stopped me from having/buying others for some reason, but it definitely gets carried the most.

So if I move the hole location in my sheath outward? (I'll probably put 2 rivots in) One for vert, and one for canted.
I'll do that for my "Dog-Walker" knife

That looks like it will give me a more comfortable carry angle

The Demko is just so darn good that I can go ahead and get rid of the rest of my knives. I was just being a smart ass.

I don't buy expensive stuff like this and much of the time when I have tried it's been disappointing. This Demko is 100% not disappointing at all. It is absolutely awesome.
