As seems to be my habit, it generally takes me a couple days to get my BF posting rhythm back after returning from our retreat in the woods and hills of Vermont. I managed some timely pics of yesterday's carry, but didn't manage to post after a busy day unpacking and doing a little work on our bathroom project. I'll post here for yesterday and may well put up another later for today.

Just started carrying a 3 in fixed blade due to the difficulty in opening and closing a small pocket knife due to arthritis and neuropathy in both hands. We'll see how it works over time.
Hope it has a leather sheath .
The dulling effect of those silly glass fiber filled resin sheaths is what stops me from carrying fixed blades more often .
I like my small pocket knives "stupid sharp" and the modern sheaths take the "'stupid" right off my edges.

I forget ; did we discuss how a folding Spyderco Endura works for you in my thread ?
Mastiff says they work well with his unhappy paws .

arthritis and neuropathy in both hands
at the risk of offending members of the medical tribe
and "prescribing" with abandon :
check into eliminating foods from the nightshade family : potatoes , tomatoes , peppers from your diet (this is well documented on line and has worked miracles for my pardner Lisa) .

At the same time look into Qigong (pronounced chee gong, chee gung, or chee kung), is an ancient form of exercise from China ).
There may be classes in your area . Especially the "forms" that include swinging of the arms side to side and vertically .
I had a healed broken finger that bothered me from child hood , I can still see the bump in the bone . In my thirties I took FREE CLASSES at a park every Thursday for the summer .
Since then = zero pain or problem .
Fighters use these techniques "forms" to heal injuries .
THEY CAN AND DO WORK !.

PS : and no , nobody asked me to "donate " 10% of my income and soon after the teacher moved to Hawaii . He was an acupuncture dude but just wanted to demonstrate the healing properties of Chinese medicine .

Endela had box duty so now it’s time to put away the new toys and clean the tape smudge off the blade 🤪View attachment 2894008
Bless you for NOT SUPPORTING harbor freight .

My last Dewalt Purchase a couple years ago (DEWALT XTREME 12V MAX* Cordless Screwdriver, 1/4-Inch ) gets used Every Work Day . And it makes me smile and say THANK YOU every day . After I had a couple of wannabe screw guns go pop in less than a year of fairly light use . This Dewalt wasn't on the market then that I could find .
This sucker almost broke my wrist couple days ago when I forgot to reset it from Drill mode back to torque release for screws .
Serious torque for a little dude !

OK, I'm back again as threatened, catching up on posting after returning from a pleasant, productive stay at our rustic Vermont retreat. It was a Thin Thursday here as the weather turned warm and I spent the day with the Narrows IWB wearing b-ball shorts and tee, doing some household chores, running an errand uptown, and finally finishing the bathroom cabinet adding door catches and putting in the shelves after installing the door pulls yesterday that finally arrived shortly after we got back.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. It's quite a piece of engineering design and is well made of premium materials, but I find its incredible thinness a bit uncomfortable opening and closing with with my beat-up, arthritic old carpenter's mitts. I did get a great deal on it--sure wouldn't have paid normal retail--at 2/3 of new price and my wife thinks it's really cool, so I'm hanging on to it for now. It certainly is good for IWB in light shorts, though....
