EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I haven’t see that logo before. What is the knife brand?

It's the Wixco Axor. Wixco is the new sub-brand of Ferramonster, which is also relatively new. I've tried a few now and they seem to be decently built. Most of the Wixco stuff is 14C28N. Lock-up is late on some of them, meaning that my normal closing method of pressing the lock, dropping to the finger that was pressing the lock, moving that finger and dropping the rest of the way home gets disrupted. It was a real problem on the model I tried with a flipper tab but it's passable on the thumb stud models. I really like the shape of this one so it has spent more time in pocket.

I do not but on the bucket list to get. I've always wanted to try my hand at making knives and seen guys cut blanks with them.
I grew up with hand held bandsaws around me , cranes and pipe threading machines.
Hell my Dad had wrenches in his truck that were longer than I was tall .

For knives might look at "stationary steel cut off band saw" . Can lock it upright on it's stand that has two wheels on the back. Has a little table you can add to support the blade you are working on. Stays turned on and running without messing with the trigger .
I have a Delta from like 25 years ago . Works well enough . Change speeds by changing belt on the various pulleys.

That Milwaukee is so sweet though : smooth, quiet , variable speed at the trigger .

Great info. I've never needed a band saw as I do hardwood floors. I'm sure I'll get the Milwaukee first but may take you up on that advise.

Thank you sir. I’ve got a 88 f150 with a 302. Love a classic Ford. My dad has a 38 Ford. View attachment 2900355View attachment 2900356

Sweet! My dad had an 87 back in the day, a lot of memories with that one. At least I think it was 87, his was the first year of that body style. We traveled from Florida up to NC where his cousin worked at a dealership to get a good deal on one with all the options to his specs. He and my uncles all had 78-9's as well, which is likely what sparked my nostalgia for the Dentsides.
