EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Spyderco Burgundy PD#1 Delica
Carried and used it today .
Impressed with how well it cuts.
LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS ! Black blade, black lock release and hardware . . . black clip . Toned down but looks so good to me .

Mine is the "Deep Thoat" ; seems like I recall that means it can take on railroad ties for landscaping etc. I have not put that to the test.
Way back in the day I was building hand made "Canopy Beds" ; basically fancy sculptured steel beds with various themes in the four posts . One we did had a small tree like sculpture at each corner . Used solid mild steel round bar to make the branches all bent and curved with various size branches welded on . After the patina looked pretty good . Ha , ha I would use the porta band to "trim " the trees to look right .

I worked with an interior designer that owned the business , she made all kinds of light sconces and stuff by hand . She had a young woman that would show up after school, swap out her bright green vinyl mini skirt and thigh high boots for a pair of welders coveralls and spend the afternoon cutting out a ton of stuff with a plasma cutter. We got into making these beds for a while but then someone in Texas gave us too much competition with cheep labor etc .

It was kind of fun for a while but very labor intensive.
Oh . . . the floor model cutoff band saw . . . I could put a bunch of steel rods in it (has a large jaw vise on the chassis) and set it to automatically cut through the bunch and then when it cuts through it shuts it's self off . Very handy for cutting a lot of material to the same length all at once . That's it's main function .
Yes the largest one is the way to go. I’ve seen ways to make it semi permanent and that intrigued me. I have a couple years left doing floors then it's my time to have fun.

Thought I'd share a few pics of my adventure today. Took a decent ride today to a state park and then got off and went for a hike. It was a great day, I really needed the nature!

This is what most of the trail looked like.

One of those saplings growing on an old growth stump that's turned into a huge tree of it's own.

There was this weird, cool carving out of the rock underneath a small cliff face that formed this tunnel deal. Looks like something has been spending time in there.

Then I found this sweet deep hole in the river at the end. I'm going to go back here sometime and do some fishing. I saw 2 fly fishermen and one had a bunch of bites and the other one caught 15 trout throughout the day, both on wet flies. There were little baby salmon jumping everywhere in this hole.

Carried my normal combination of a multitool (gotta have a saw if I bring it camping or hiking) and one of my normal EDC folders along with a decent sized fixed blade (an old school Cold Steel SRK in Carbon V today).
Here's what the end of the trail looked like just before the fishing hole. Grass taller than me (very short video)

Looks like a great way and place to spend the day.

It's Sunday, good morning BF!

Look what I found on my front porch last night. It's the brand new Work Sharp magnesium alloy integral in M390. It's got their one-off button manual & auto pivot system.

So freaking light, sharp too...good figure. Haha
😄

Going in the pocket today!

p.s. Happy Fathers Day
