EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

thread locker which I softened with acetone and wire-brushed away
you're right . Modern paint would have just laughed at acetone .
e.g. I once had a debate with an auto paint man that the primer on a car of mine that I had just bought was indeed two pack primer not cheep stuff . I was happy with the integrity of the guy I bought the car from for many other reasons .
Paint guy wasn't convinced . Then he says : all right , do you have any lacquer thinner around ? I brought him some and he rubbed away at the primer and none came off on the rag . He was satisfied with that .
You are right too that probably hinges would have been put on then the hood painted (at the factory ? ) but it always seemed the stuff in the threads was the color of the paint on the car .
Must have been "magic" .
:)
really looked to me like thread locker
yes it does.
Glad you gotter loose !

Giving myself a 4-day weekend for my 49th, which is actually on Monday. Started off with a Friday about as good as you can get. An 8-10 mile hike out at Rainier, up to a ridge and then down into a lake, carrying the Taggedout (amongst other things).

Then hit our local Mexican joint for Fajita Friday (washed down with a tall glass of Modelo Negra), carrying the Sebenza and Vic Companion. (date wrong on the watch because I now have 49 y/o eyes and DGAF ;))

Afterwards, Picked some Blueberries from the garden for dessert, had those accompanied by a nice glass of honey-sweetened gunpowder tea and some locally distilled cask strength rye, carrying a mini-Freek and Vic Vagabond.

Just proves how sane you are .
I carry a knife roll / wallet with me to work (and have another one that stays in one of my tool chests at work ) .
I assume I should be embarrassed by that but some how I'm just not feeling it . . .
in my defence I do uncrate a lot of machines from thick wall boxes so I "need" the works .

And I am always testing / comparing one knife to another of similar ilk (I've decided to call it science) .
but no . . . no . . . forgetting one's pocket knife at home seems pretty "healthy" all things considered .
Yeah, I hear ya. I always have a folder in the vehicle, plus a huge Condor Hudson Bay Knife, and a smaller fixed blade, but I still feel naked without having one of my main folders from home.

I used to carry 3 folders in my pockets everyday a year or two ago. All about the same size, and not for any use case, I just wanted to be able to play with them throughout the day. 😂
