EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Can I ask your thoughts on the Vallotton? I purchased one a few years back and although I absolutely loved the look and feel of the knife, it was WAY too heavy in the pocket.

I absolutely love it, ElG. The grind, the size, the multiple opening mechanisms, and the D/A conversion. But I don't mind the weight, it's lighter (similar in size - just my sweet spot) to my beloved Buck 110 which I understand is too heavy for most ....

Hope that helps.

Roland.

Amazing! Thanks for the speedy reply. I suppose I have been carrying heavier knives lately, perhaps I should give the Vallotton another look. Cheers!

New favorite Spyderco. K390 is great.

I can't remember the last time I carried this little guy, but it was a great choice for IWB in b-ball shorts carry on a day the started out rainy and turned to hot, sunny, and humid. When my appreciation for modern folders started to open up, I had a year or two flirtation with assisted openiers and my wife bought me this Barrage as a Christmas gift many years back. It didn't take long for me to fall out of love with AO's and those I had either got moved out or de-assisted. Of course I left this one alone and in original condition given its provenance.

It's hard to get many different poses with an AO as it's basically either open or closed, so here's one pic of each....

The trick is to carry a Cold Steel Espada XL for a few days , totally fits all the way into my pocket , then the Vallatton feels tiny and just right . 😎
