Recently finished two pieces of a new design I've been working on: the Erebos chopping knife. Both have a rather wide 9 inch long blade made from 80CrV2 with African blackwood scales. Due to the fullers the blades are still front heavy as they should be, but they are a bit more nimble and lively in the hand. Finish on the blades is a simple acidwash, which I personally really like on these big blades.

Let me know what you think.

They look great. As well as those Damascus pocket bowies you posted earlier. I don’t buy demascus steel but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for those in different steels to hit the exchange. Very nice work.
