Everyone's latest acquisitions!

I finally received my scales for the Endura 4, made by suingab suingab .
Beautiful work, they look much better in person. Fat Carbon, Gold Camo.
I'm very happy with his work, they fit over the liners better than the LW polymer ones.

Just received this ZT 0452GL which joins and completes my collection of ZT 0452s.

The lanyard came w/the knife.

I'm not particuarly fond of it but I don't think I could remove it w/o ruining it. So, I see no reason to remove it at this time.

I know that there are other variations of the 0452, like the TiBlu (which I've owned & sold previously) and like the WBW (that I've had opportunities to buy but simply do not like), that I could also collect but these are all of the 0452s that I care to keep.

So, now I can move on to focus on collecting other knives. :)

I've been looking at this one for a long time, finally decided to get it (gift card and some rewards points made it a lot easier).

Very compact, which is just want I wanted. I wasn't sure I wanted to go all black.

Size comparison to today's carry. It's not that much larger than the Pena Apache.

This sheath I wanted more than the other otpions so that helped make the final decision, fits nice and snug.

I recently purchased and received a Hinderer Field Tactical -- ZT 0180 w/the OEM sheath -- that I reported on previously in this thread together w/pics of it w/the other ZT fixed blades that I own and other knives that I purchased before Xmas. See: My Xmas Buying Spree.

Unfortunately, the OEM sheath that came w/the 0180 is atrocious and is not form fitting like all other sheaths that came w/the other ZT fixed blade knives that I also own. The knife blade just fits loosely in the kydex insert in the nylon sheath and moves around freely w/in the insert, even when the handle is snapped in.

I intially thought there was a mistake but checking photos of other 0180's previously sold showed the same mediocre sheath w/the knife. The OEM sheath actually appears to be straight "off the shelf" and there has been at least 1 prior complaint posted about it on BF that you can read HERE.

Anyway, I found a vendor online who is still making kydex sheaths for the 0180 and ordered one, which is shown below w/the knife and OEM sheath. It's a pretty well made sheath w/a Tek-lok clip that cost me an extra $65 that I could have "saved" if the 0180 came w/a properly fitted sheath to begin with.

I contacted the vendor to see if he can/would make an replacement insert for the OEM sheath that is properly fitted to the knife but he has not responded to my inquiry about it yet. Update: The guy never got back to me regarding the insert. Resent the email 2x's. So, I assume the answer is/was no.

LOL! ;)

Been a little while since I've posted here.

First is a new to me Gerber Harsey Hunter Operation Iraqi Freedom edition. My Dad gave this to me recently. He retired from the Air Force EOD a Chief Master Sergeant a while back and he carried this knife during multiple deployments. Lots of history here.

Next up is the WE Knives Elementum in blue stonewashed titanium and 20CV steel. I was fairly excited for this one. I've wanted a more premium, frame-lock Elementum for awhile now, and I've always been more than satisfied with the quality of my Civivi knives. Especially for the price. This one has some pretty mediocre action and the detent is a little stiff. I'm hoping it gets better after disassembling and lubing, but we'll see. As of now, this knife has worse action than all of the Civivi's I've owned. Everything else about the knife is excellent. The grind is particular is really great. Don't mind the discoloration on the scales, I couldn't resist carrying it to work for a few days when it first came in, lol.

I also had a Spyderco K390 Dragonfly Wharncliffe come in. Awesome little desk knife. :)

I've had scales waiting for this knife for quite some time, so it didn't even make it through the day before I swapped them, lol.

My latest Rockstead . Love it, can't believe that it wasn't on my radar. Their tolerances are tight.
