I have owned/own several USMC-marked KaBars and Camillus blades of ww2, VN war, and Gulf War1. None of these have had factory/issued sharpened back-clips. Some INSIST that ww2 had sharpened back-clips, at variance with my experience and reading..
How about it, collectors and aficionados? What is your experience? Thanks, Dun

I think they came like they do now. Almost sharp but not quite. I’ve never seen anything to indicate otherwise.

Ed, I just examined about 15 near mint WW2 MK2s in my collection, KA-BAR, Camillus, and Robeson, blade marked and guard marked, and they all are not factory sharpened on the top clip. Don't have any more PALs left, but I am sure they are the same.

I have 3 WW2 era 1219C2s that have sharpened clips. All are obviously post-factory sharpening jobs. None of the ones that have any amount of factory parkerizing left have sharpened clips.
