As to the leather handle....condition it with several applications of Hubbard shoe dressing, then give it another application a couple times a year.
The convex grind used by Falkniven is great and performs very well easy to sharpen as well with either their DC4 or a loaded strop.
They are all great knives. From my experience one with a 4-5 inch blade is the most useful. Especially if teamed with a hatchet and or saw.
