Favorite/best 3" (or less) fixed blade for EDC

The Izula for me. Great for anything I'll ever need it to do, easy enough to maintain, and affordable enough to never ever be an issue.

TRC Knives TR-12s is in the EDC rotation. The sheath is nearest to perfect I've had - carried scout, vertical, and even as a necker. Big brother K-1 in the background. Both in Elmax. That or the Mini.

I got in in the pre order for a Carothers EDC2 and it may very well take top spot for my favorite 3"ish fixed blade ...

But for now the Bradford Guardian 3 is carried more then any others probably a big reason the sheath option to carry vertical ... other then that an Esee Izula II neck knife or my LT wright Patriot get a fair amount of use.

Usually I carry this little izula2 .. sorry for it being a bit loved looking ..

this last couple weeks , I have been using this little .. thing ... cheap little elk ridge piece.. that takes a lazer edge and seems to just keep on doing what its sposed to do .. for very few $$ too

I like both of them . the izula is easier to use being the bigger handle of the two , but both are small enough to hide in your hand , ride in the pocket with no problems , do what knives should do ..

Dawson Knives Mercury in US made damascus and desert ironwood scales. Going back to the shop soon for a Kydex pocket sheath. About a 3" blade. Great EDC: Slim, handy, sharp, great to look at, attractive even to non-knife folks.

View attachment 769050 I've carried that Bradford Guardian3 (third one down in black M390) for maybe eight months now...crossdraw horizontal belt carry. I've had six of those now in M390 and CPM-3V. It's a wonderful blade and I've used it (casually) a lot. That finger choil allows my large hand to still get a full grip on this rather short knife.
However, I'm also a S!K nut, and I'm showing here the GSO 3.5 and the GSO 2.7 at the top.
The fourth one down is my Fiddleback Hiking Buddy in D2.
I just sold the Hinderer Flashpoint 3" at the bottom. It's a little too short for my large hand, although it's a great necker possibility.

Here's a look at some of the nice ones that I've been interested in for crossdraw carry...
I do ALWAYS have a clipped large Sebbie in my rh pocket to deal with anything greater than "casual."

Ironbut shows his standard leather sheath for his Bradford Guardian3. That is a GREAT way to carry this fine knife. I've worn mine for about 8 months now, and I never take it off my belt. My t-shirt (Florida) hides it nicely, and I never know that I have it on...until I need it. I love this model...
