Favorite knife to eat an apple with

I think carbon blade knives are best because of patina. I have used mostly middle size Jack-pocket knives.
 
I'm partial to the Victorinox Gardener. Ate a honeycrisp apple with it earlier today actually.

That would be a nice option for me to eat one at work around the sheeple.
 
My choice is usually a KAI paring knife I got for about $6 at a kitchen goods outlet store, similar to this one. Same knife, but mine is green. The little plastic blade guard made it easy to carry it in my lunch bag.

If you are talking about a pocket knife, then I preferred to use a Case Slimline Trapper SS.
 
I used to slice a lot of apples with my Gayle Bradley. Before that I used an Opinel which is an even better choice. Now I just grab a paring knife from the block.

I have a Victorinox paring knife whose sole mission in life is to reduce apples to very thin slices.
 
I eat most of my apples in the office. I make wedges out of them with whichever knife I am carrying... and if for some reasong I didn't bring any that day, I reach for a Wenger Ranger I have in my desk at all times. I bought that knife in Zermat and soon after that I realised it is waaaaay to heavy to carry it backpaking. A Vic Rucksack offers the same tools (pretty much) plus toothpick and tweezers, so I decided to leave it in the office.

i agree with previous posters when stating that any full flat ground thin blade should excell at this task.
 
+1. Apples are ready to eat out of the box. I eat one every single day and can't remember the last time I cut one.

A knife is not needed, but biting a whole apple is potentially more messy than cutting it in four wedges and eating that. In an office environment is much cleaner to cut it! And I do eat most of my apples at work!
