Well I got my first Fiddleback today. An orange G10 Karda. Even with this not being a premeir knife I now know why there are so many fans of Andy's work. I had to make a trade to get it but I finally got one. Now for the bolstered hiking buddy to show up and I will have #2 and hopefully a coozie to boot. :D

You know the rules of bladeforums. Your claims are untrue until proven by photographic evidence...;)

Purpose of knife will be EDC when I get some leather and make a new sheath for it. Right now the kydex will be going on my pack strap for backup knife.

Here JGON I knew someone was gonna ask and I was gonna wait til tomorrow and go on a lil outing with it but ask and ye shall recieve.

Yep, Andy makes great knives! If I keep seeing these Kardas I am going to have to squeeze one in between the Recluse and the Hiking Buddy for an edc myself. I'd love to have one with some sort of earth tone handle and sheath.

Looking forward to pics from the outing and some in-hand pics!

Well me and the boy went on a lil hike behind the house. Its nice to live where there is about 900 acres of uninhabited land, it aint all mine but I have access to it. Anyway here is a few pics of the new blade.

Not gonna lose this lil booger in the forest debris

Blurry pic but you can get the idea of the size of the knife. I wear a large glove b/c I like them tight on me but I can wear and xl

Here is my 4 year old holding it, it actually would make a great blade for him, and may become his or I will get him another one. But he is a monster for his age. He is about 4" taller than anyone else in his preshcool class.

Here I am just playing around with it and my boy decided to take a pic. Turned out pretty good for a kid.

Just some knife porn.

BBQ Boy asked how I was planning on using the knife. Here it is. This was just threw together today befor I left and it held pretty good but I will get a tec lock for it later.

Thats it hope you enjoyed looking at the new blade I think I am going to enjoy carrying this lil blade.

Nice! Congrats  I dig the orange :)

A three finger Karda is pretty high up on my Fiddleback list.

Man I really like that. Looks like a great companion knife for delicate work.
Perfect size for your boy too.

Thanks for the pics, puts the knife in perspective for me. I'm definitely going to be adding one of those to the list.

Well shoot,I'm glad you like the Karda. Thanks for the trade.
It was my first too.I love the spalting on the blade & the orange G10,
but the G.L.Drew is more my size & I've been wanting a hand forged knife.
I'm leaning towards a bushfinger for my next Fiddleback, thanks to all of Mist's pics & reviews.

Great pics btw,it looks perfect in your sons hand & on your pack.
I'm glad you got it out into the woods too.
That saber ground convex of Andy's sure makes some fine shavings &
the spine edge is nice & sharp for scraping.
Just two of the reasons why I'll have another Fiddleback.

Damn,now I'm having traders remorse....
at least I still have the coozi.:p

Glad you like it Kerry,enjoy.

Hey wait a minute the coozie!!!!! That should have been part of the deal, :D I really want one and hope I get a knife ordered before he runs out of them. Yea I really like it and I ran it on some 1000 grit sandpaper and my strop and now that thing is flat out scary. I sliced up some smoked backstrap with it the other nite. Nice lil slicer but I am really wanting a HB and will get the next bolstered one that comes up for sale hopefully. Yea thanks for the trade man I am enjoying the knife. Glad you like yours as well. Nothing like when a trade goes good.

Man, thats cool. Love seeing my work get used. Moving from two to three fingers on the karda was excellent.

Glad you like the knife!
