I ordered this from BladeHQ once I saw it up on Monday. Premium materials for a great price - $75!

Check it out. 3.5'' polished blade, VG10.
Flipper design, runs on bearings. Flipper nub is very small. I think it will smooth out in time, but needs some wrist action currently. Tuf glide made a big difference.
Very lightweight. 1.7 ounces, it is so thin, it feels almost unsubstantial. The titanium frame is nicely stonewashed, talk about skeletonized.

Lockup is solid. Framelock is sticky - common for titanium? Graphite smooths it out temporarily.

My first thought upon opening it was that it like a piece of plastic silverwear, as the weight was so insignificant in hand. If you ever have had that plastic silverwear that has a silvery chrome finish, the blade reminded me just of that due to the high polish. Not a negative comparison, but the blade is just very nice. Rounded spine, & razor sharp too out of box!

Pocket clip on mine has one screw installed at a wonky angle. clip is still secure. Screw doesn't move so they must be loctited in. Not gonna mess with it for now, don't want to strip out the hardware. Pocket clip is deep carry, with a wide space for material to catch.

Like this knife, not sure if it will be a catch and release yet, I'll give it a chance to grow on me.

I really like the California clip point blade on that sucker. It's on my short list, but I wish the flipper was just a bit more substantial.

Is it IKBS? I like almost everything about it (aside from no lefty clip from what I can see) and at $75 it sounds like a killer deal. Captive bearings would make it damn near perfect.

Its not marked as IKBS. It is on bearings, though. I cannot tell if they are captured, and I am not gonna disassemble it to find out!

This looks really cool
Going on my list for sure.
I already have one boker plus and I was very pleased with it. This looks like another winner.

Urban trapper??..now thats marketing for ya....Im not a fan of lightweight folders but i must say i like the blade shape very much.........................Fes

The Kwaiken flipper has been a big hit for them. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them come out with more designs in that same kinda style.
This one looks decent. Not sure if I like the holes, but I suppose that plays a big part in the < 2oz weight.
I still might spring for a Kwaiken flipper over this.

hmm I like the blade and handle shapes but that tiny flipper seems dubious unless the detent is really strong. I appreciate the extra work that goes into the high polish of the blade but I would probably give it a satin finish.

Boker is just killing it these days. Lotsa nice and interesting knives for cheap - and now VG-10? I woulda bought this in 440C! Icing on the cake, IMO.

Gotta get a Griploc too. I have an Urban Trapper en route. I might have a new slacks folder; the gentleman's shiv.

Edit: that frame and those milled holes just scream "refinish and anodize me." I'm thinking a high polish on the bevels of the milled holes, then anodize the holes different colors, then a high satin with a stonewash on the flats of the frame.

If I remember correctly, it's named that because it's Mr. Zinker's reenvisioning of the classic trapper pattern traditional.

Boker is killing it for sure. What an attractive and simple knife. I've handled some Chinese Bokers and they are well made knives.

That's a great looking knife. My only gripe is the pocket clip. It looks too wide to be discreet.

The review says that you may require a little wrist action to get it to fully deploy consistently.

Yep. The pocket clip will be the first thing to go when I get mine. And as far as opening the knife is concerned, here's a review that indicates no wrist flip is required if you use the proper technique:

Maybe some comparison shots? That would be great. Thanks

I posted some comparison shots with a Small Sebenza here:

It very very small loose bearings; disassemble at your own risk! I ordered two of these knives, and took one apart as I am going to try and stone-wash the blade.

I have not been able to get the "fingernail technique" shown in the video to work. If I loosen up the pivot it works, but then there is blade play. Must still be doing something wrong.

Other than the flipper, it's a fantastic knife with an almost unbeatable weight. I'd be interested in seeing a slightly smaller 3.0 or 3.25 inch version of this knife.

I've been a convert to Boker Plus since my Kwaiken, will definitely be ordering one of these. Great looking knife.

I'm going to take a little time to digest my new ZT 0770CF, then I'll order one of these. Aidansdaddy posted a Youtube video that indicates he's figured out a way to open the blade without having to use either a fingernail or a wrist flick. Looks like he puts his index finger on the trigger and then gives it a sharp pull straight down the spine. Check it out:

Nice, that seems to work relatively well.

Here are the results of stone-washing the blade. I like it a lot better now. Just need to sharpen it up.
