 Bought my first Spyderco Thursday, I lost my Benchmade and picked the Native in black, I was at Going Gear looking at some Benchmade, but looked down at the counter and saw a Spyderco. I like the feel and the shape of the blade. I would like to hear some pro's and con's of Spyderco. It seems like a well made USA knife.[/B]

So I was reading your post and there was a cleverly placed ad...

Haha. Definitely a could-be slogan! Everything you need... Spyderco.

These blades are wicked sharp. I only own one so far, a Para 2. Bought the GF a purple FRN Ladybug that she adores and is also wicked sharp.

I think the only con I can think of is the blades probably arn't the best for prying or deconstructive work. I could be off base, but I've heard stories of people getting too rough. My thought process is... buy a prybar. Knives should be made for cutting, not prying.

The Native is an impressive looking knife! Check out the Spyderco website for their entire lineup. You can also request a very colorful and informative product guide!

Congrats on your new knife, good choice!
Mostly pros with the Spydercos, IMO.
I've got several, and not a dud in the bunch.
Read around the Spyderco forum here a bit, lots of good info...

Oh yeah, almost forgot: Pics or it didn't happen!

:p
