Five Card Stud: Jacks Are Better!

Dan
That's a fairly Early A.D.Wadsworth sporting the XLNT Tang Stamp ( Kastor Bros. owned Trade Mark ), it works very much like some of the TL-29's where you have to press the small Pen blade into the Liner more so to unlock the Main Blade once it is open, I think it's a very nice old Knife- and Dan you really get to appreciate it more when holding the knife in the hand, there were a couple of versions of these when released and I think this was the "cheaper" one so I would like to own the upgrade if this is so :D

kai76 kai76 The Robeson Clip and Southington Spear are masterstrokes:cool: The latter is interesting in that it has a very broad Spear but the frame looks like a pistol grip or Saddlehorn rather than the more usual Teardrop? Super wood on it too:thumbsup:

Thanks, Will

Will Power Will Power Thanks Will. I wasn’t sure myself what pattern the Southington was at first but I’m pretty sure it’s called a curved jack. The covers are actually horn but they sure do look like wood!

Thanks, on closer inspection I see the tell tale pores in the horn. No shrink or warp either and inletting a complex shield into horn is no mean feat either.

Some sweet hands

I've been hoping you two would play, beautiful additions, Nick and Steve! Nick, I love the curved jack, and Steve lays down another straight flush of bone jacks, and all with end caps too! There are still a few more notable absences among our members . . . come on, guys and gals!

Great thread Jeff black mamba black mamba . I do not think that I can put up a hand to strongly compete , but I could put up an interesting one anyhow . Too late in the day to get good pictures though . Some really great postings folks .

Well, being a Robeson man, for me Lloyd has just wiped out the table and taken all the cash! Many, many spectacular hands displayed, but 5 wormgroove bone handled Pocket-Ezes takes the prize for me. That second one from the bottom might be my favorite jackknife I've ever seen.

Thanks Jeff for the kind comments on my PocketEze folders!! Thanks also to those that liked them:thumbsup:
