Fixed Blade for EDC advice

Moderators, please take care of the putrid dribble that appears when a Potty mouth cannot control his juvenile tendencies just because he wants attention. @ Matthew W, try using a dictionary for bigger words, you may just learn to put actual meaningful and helpful sentences together.
The only “dribble” is mine on your chin bitch.

MW took it to a new thread, probly be relocated to whine and cheese. Or deleted. Got 42 cents says he gets banned whether he wants to or not...

To the OP, it's not usually this much fun around here, but it's not you. Or your question.

Check out the Condor Tool and Knife Pandur. It's not stainless, tho, might be a problem, might not. You can always get it clear cerakoted...

How about a Becker tweener?

Yes, but 'tis the land of the free. Until he does something stupid, like invade my personal space, he's free to his opinions. Some I'd prefer he kept to himself, but that seems to be the norm in our society. People I don't know who think I should somehow care about their opinions, or that theirs is somehow more important than mine. Or anyone else's, for that matter. Things would go so much smoother if people in general would learn to how mind their own damn business.

I just want to know if the OP has picked a blade yet? Since it's a back-up, it doesn't have to be fancy, merely effective. It probably doesn't hurt if it looks good doing nothing, tho....

Wow. That escalated quickly. Getting back on track...I've tried to EDC a 4.5 inch fixed blade and it was a little silly in an urban environment and less than ideal to say the least.

I currently carry a Benchmade Altitude on my support side, on and off duty. When I'm working I keep the knife behind my magazines around my 11 o'clock. A knife, especially a 3 inch one would not be my first choice as a defensive weapon. With that being said, people have been taking care of business with sharp pointy things since we developed opposable thumbs.

I do prefer using a fixed blade as they're faster and easier to deploy than any folder and much easier to clean/maintain. However, folders are much easier to carry.

I'm really interested in that Becker BK16, but despise the OEM sheath. Where did you get that BK16 sheath?

Thanks,

It's a great knife, you won't regret the purchase. That sheath was made by our very own @azwelke Hit him up, he makes excellent quality kydex!
