For Lord of the Rings Fans; what knife?

Nerd alert question: Growing up, my favorite books were the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. With the new Hobbit movie out I have been watching the Lord of the Rings movies lately and it got me to wondering. What current production knives look like they would fit within the realm of the Lord of the Rings/Middle-Earth.
Every time I look at the Spyderco Techno I think of a Hobbit. I don’t know why but I guess that it being short and stout just remind me about Tolkein’s description of hobbits.
The same goes for the Spyderco Southard. The sweeping organic blade reminds me of something that the elves would build along with the color of the G10 being earth brown and the love that Tolkein had for nature.

It's a knife, right?

I don't really think of production folders as being in that milieu, i.e. this one is Hobbitlike because it's short and stout etc. United Cutlery makes the official Frodo/Bilbo movie sword "Sting" and while I wouldn't take it into battle it fits my mental picture the sword of the books pretty well, and the movies very well being a replica. Scabbard is available for it too.

There will undoubtedly be countless more tie ins for the new movie. Or movies, as they are inexplicably making a trilogy.

Yeah I know folders most likely would not be around in that sort of version of the universe. But I like folding knives that seem to look like they belong in that era. I know all of the knock off swords exist. But I haven't got into swords yet (thank god for my wife and my wallet) and if an when I do I hope to grab the real thing, not a replica. I could imagine Aragorn using a plain jane Sebenza 21 as it is simple, has a lot to it, and rugged enough.

Aragorn's knife (given to him by Celeborn in the movies) is fantastic.

I would love to have that! I always wondered if that is the smallest knife he carried or he had another "edc" like one to do the small day-to-day stuff

Also, two words.... John Lundemo.

As soon as I get some financial stuff squared away I'm going to be putting a commission in with him.

Wow, never heard of him. Glad I did! I will definetly own a peice of his one day

I've been lusting after one of his LotR themed pieces ever since he first started making them back when the trilogy came out. The Hobbit being released finally got me to put things in motion to get one. Now just to choose which to get (first...). He's done everything from Legolas' knives to Anduril, and they all look absolutely fantastic. Wait time is a few months last I checked, and a full size sword runs $1.5-2k.

He definitely had an EDC prior to receiving this knife.

After Frodo gets stabbed by the Morgul Blade, Aragorn asks Sam if he knows the kingsfoil weed. The next scene shows Aragorn finding the weed first. He whips out a 4-5 inch knife to cut the weed.

Damn you are good. I thought about that scene at one point and don't remember him pulling out the elvish dagger. I am going to watch the movie again just to try and get a glimpse of it.

Description:

Used by the renowned Celtic warriors around 200 BC, this classic leaf-shaped blade is 20" long. Handforged 5160 steel is hardened on the edge and sometimes visible. Around the guard area is a "U" shaped polished iron piece riveted to the base of the blade. It has a dark Macassar ebony hardwood grip 5" long separated by three polished iron discs/rings. The blade tang is bolted to a polished iron pommel. Comes with a black leather sheath with a brass ring hanger. Definitely one of the best ancient sword designs. Overall length 27". Wt. 2.5 lbs.
