I’ve always liked lockbacks. As a kid and teen it seems like I always had one on me. Some times s cheaply made China one but always one on me.

For some reason I realize the only lockbacks I have are Buck 110’s, a Buck 521( which I rarely carry) and a little Buck 425 that lives in my tackle box.

I might have to change that eventually.

The #4! This thing is great. Definitely a buck 110 alternative and in my opinion I'd rather have this one.


The #11 is similar. Same size, same pattern.


The difference is the #4 has a sabre grind and the 11 has a slicey full flat grind. Plus the #4 came with "camwood" and the 11 came with delrin and a horrendous medallion installed. Usually American wildlife or an SFO like the one shown.



A little off topic but....

The #7 sportsmate cam lok and #8 sportsmate are the same pattern and size, but barehead, nickel bolsters and slip joint. Their blades are sabre ground on one side and flat ground on the other. Go figure. Weird.

That medallion is hideous, but I love that 11 otherwise! Definitely see why you'd rather have it than a 110. I agree with you. That sweeping clip is fantastic!
