Alright I'm going to take the wicked edge to my new Yoji 2 and need to know where to put the tape on the blade. Can anyone measure how deep the bezel is when they sharpen to 18 or 15? Mine came really dull, but the bezel is clean. It's like they ran it against glass or something.
Quick story, if you don't know. I got a wicked edge and make mistakes, even though I've improved a lot I still think I should use tape to protect the factory finishes.
EDIT: I just lowered the tape 1/16 inch like Apostle P said. Turns out even with it a hair below the bezel the were no scratches. I still have to get some sharpy off though .
