GAW traditional picture show

Great knife for a giveaway. Loving all the pictures, as well.

Congrats to you for 2500 in here! Make sure you find my GAW to enter it, as well.

That looks like the '50s alright! Is that a lipstick opposite the blade, or what? :D

Actually, it's a pen! I wish I could find a refill for them, it would open up a whole new EDC category!

I think you all can understand why I like this picture so well...........these are my boys, with the knives that were rolling of the GEC floor the day of their birth.

Let's go back to the 50's!

Those are pretty wild, Glenn! I'm trying to imagine how comfortable writing with with one of those would be.

Very cool, Rockon! I had planned on purchasing whatever knife was on the GEC home page on the day my daughter was born, and was hoping it wouldn't be on a weekend (since they don't update anything on the weekends). She ended up being born on a Friday, but unfortunately it was a Friday that GEC didn't update their home page. :( So "her knife" will be the #77 Bull Nose I was carrying the day she was born.

And here is a picture just for you Rockgolfer-Look Familiar?

Sure is a good looking knife :D

This GAW really has been fun to follow along with all your great posts and pictures. Really appreciate everyone's posts. Still seems to be going pretty steady still so I'll let it go another day or three. I will give a 24 hour warning before I close it, thanks again everyone for participating and good luck to you

Gotta have the display to go with the knives, right?

Still not an entry, but I sure have enjoyed all the fine pictures!:thumbup:

Those knives (and that display) are ridiculously awesome, Glenn!!:cool: When you first posted them, I didn't look very closely and thought they were strange two-tone marlin spike knives. :o You mentioned finding a refill for the pens; is there a way to actually open the "pen case", and could you just cut down a modern ballpoint refill to fit? One knife I carry EVERY day is a Vic Minichamp and the main reason is its handy little pen.

Here's one I'm gonna try to carry for a while

Cool shot, irona! Can you give more identifying info about both dog and knife (TL-29?), please? The dog's coloring and size (I think) are very similar to one of our dogs, a little Shi Tzu/ Pomeranian mix (who apparently has no conception of how small he really is ).

Interesting story and cool photo, Barrett!
Is her hair still black? My daughter was born with a full, thick head of black hair, but she eventually lost it all and the hair that replaced it was almost-white blonde!

OK, to even be allowed to post in this thread, even as a non-player, I'm supposed to post a pic. Here are a few I like.
A shot of a Rough Rider baby copperhead, a little pen knife I'm liking more and more:

And shots of two different knives on vacation in two different years, but taken at approximately the same spot (the top of the post was trimmed down in the year between the two photos; I'm even wondering if they were 2 consecutive posts on the dock, rather than the same post). First a Joker, then a Sodbuster Jr:

Thanks! The dog is Archie, our little Terrier mutt (or so we think. He was a rescue so we're clueless as to what he actually is but he definitely has some terrier in him), and I do mean little, especially when compared to our comically larger Golden Doodle.

When we got him he was very skinny and extremely timid of people, but over the 2+ years that he's lived with us he's become the most affectionate dog I've ever seen - at least to people that he knows. He's also gotten pretty pudgy (as a result of over feeding and love!)

The knife is (you guessed it!) a Camillus TL-29 dated around the late 70s to early 80s. It's in pretty pristine condition, only very little patina on the spines of the blades and a little on the flat of the driver. The bail was stiff like it had never been worked before. I spent the past few nights working it around the butt of the knife to break it in a little bit (I'm not much for keeping the value of something, I'd rather have it be a better knife). I'm guessing it was a surplus that was kept in a factory or store for its whole life. There's a really strong pull on this one - maybe a 8.5-9. It's not quite nail splitting but it's not too far from it, either. It feels very solid and smooth, though. As much as I want to carry this, I had to go on the bay and order a new one because of the pull. I have to prepare myself for each time I open it. Still though, I really dig the pattern! I'll take some more pics once I get home.
