Gayle Bradley 1- We need more

I can see why the gb1 has a better following.
The forward grip performs like a choil for good control cuts.
Also the edge sits lower.

I just got the gb2 and it is a nice solid knife. I think it will be a preferred carry.

I carry and use my GB2 almost every day (office, warehouse, construction enviroment and to do some wood carving).
Is a great knife however it creates a hotspot when using it for long periods of time, this is why now I try to use it with light gloves. I am thinking to get custom scales that maybe help with this hotspot.

Still one of the best production pieces ever made for the money.

Should have bought more of it. My most carried Spyderco.

The old video of Gayle Bradley talking about it was an influence on how I make my own.

The GB1 was the second Spyderco I purchased (after Manix G10 S110V) @ KW in 2017, Pretty sure was $150-$160 range! A Micarta Scaled Sprint with satin or TiCN Cruwear/M4 would be awesome!

I always like the look and size of the GB2 more. If only they could have managed a more Resilience-like transition from handle to cutting edge, I would like it even more. Never held one though.

Another vote for the GB1 - I love mine! I love it so much that when the GB2 came out, I tried to resist buying one, but wasn't able to hold out long. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't warm up to it, at least not in comparison to the original. I ended up selling it after a short while. Still have the GB1! It's definitely a keeper! I'm not saying the GB1 is better, or that the GB2 is not a great knife, I'm just stating my strong preference for the 1.

Thank you for all for this great information. Because of this thread, I have a GB2 in route from DLT!

I had two with custom scales that I got rid of that I kicked myself for years for getting rid of. Recently I happened into a stock one in excellent shape. I had delusions of making it my EDC, but have since moved to using cheaper knives. The GB1 is just too nice and rare to use at this point so it just sits in a drawer, which is a shame.

I had no interest in Gayle Bradley knives until I saw this video. Now, I have to have one.

Damn you, marthinus marthinus . You're the reason my children will go to the crappy state college just down the road.

I love my Spydie Gayle Bradley Bowie. Would have to buy one of those folders if they came back around.

No reason to change anything. They just need another run. I just got done using my GB1 for some yard work. I admire it every time I use it.

A new run would re-inspire the custom scale builders. The only reason I don't carry mine more is that it's just a bit too heavy for most of the clothes I wear. I know, that sounds lame, but if I could even shave 25 grams from the GB1, I'd carry it regularly.

If any of the custom scale world are listening...I would like a Ti scale that deletes the non-lock scale and liner. Even a G-10 scale would be fine.

The GB1 is fantastic. I would totally buy more if it was re-released without changes (like the Slyzc, which I passed on).

Has Spyderco ever brought back a discontinued model back into production, In original form? Pretty sure only specific dealers/vendors have commissioned Exclusives(Slysz Bowie, Tuff, Dodo, Etc) from the discontinued list, Though I may be wrong.

Having a dealer (Hopefully DLT) run an exclusive GB1 with materials they've used on other models, Is the most likely scenario. I'm in for any variation of the GB1 or GB2 that comes along!
