The solid is where it is at! I've had numerous GB1's, but the solid is the one for me.The GB1 was a classic before it's time. I have a solid liner and the skeletized liner version too.
Still one of the best production pieces ever made for the money.
Should have bought more of it. My most carried Spyderco.
The old video of Gayle Bradley talking about it was an influence on how I make my own.
Its all right. From what I have seen they are hard to come by so you can still make up the college fund in the mean timeI had no interest in Gayle Bradley knives until I saw this video. Now, I have to have one.

The GB1 is fantastic. I would totally buy more if it was re-released without changes (like the Slyzc, which I passed on).
No reason to change anything. They just need another run. I just got done using my GB1 for some yard work. I admire it every time I use it.
