GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

btb01 btb01 I should add that eBay was my friend this time. I overpaid but since I’m obsessed (plus know that I will only buy a few other #25s this year given how hard it is to find ones that I need) I just went for it.

The way these went, it seems like you’d almost have to in order to get ‘em all. I kept an eye on eBay, particularly when I was struggling to find the Barglow at first. Some seemed to go for reasonable-ish prices. The only one I thought got a bit crazy was an auction for a Coral Micarta that ended up more than 3x the dealer prices I saw for those.

This looks good. Any idea why they got away from stamping blades?
I'll try it...
unfortunately it is a question of cost, because of the increased effort, imho.
this stamping on the bevel of the blade requires a complete extra step before the blades are sent for hardening. the blade must be ground at an angle after the punch/ cut out.
it seems that this extra step would make the knife production too expensive and would increase the price too much.

(even the small stamp on the #15 TC Ancient Barlows was saved and replaced by an etching 2018.
the pic shows the 2015 #15 TC Ancient Barlow after the hardening process)
