Gen 1 Manix question

I have a Spyderco Manix that has a hollow grind and clear lock. I bought it in 2011 and it is basically new. The lock is really hard to close the blade one handed and I heard Spyderco has fixed this in newer versions. If I sent my Manix in to them, is this something they can upgrade for me? I'm also wondering if the early Manix has any collector value these days and what it might be worth in like new condition? Thank you!
