I think if I could choose a small to medium sized knife to carry in the bush, I think it would be one something like this. I'd prefer have a saw, hatchet or larger knife as well. I should originally have titled this thread General purpose knife, not all purpose.

Dimensions are 3/16" by 1.5" stock, Blade 3.5" OAL 8". 5 inch wheel low speed hollowgrind. Much easier to do a good job for a rookie like me on low speed

I'm thinking brass bolstered/ Bog Oak, 2 brass pins and a brass tubed lanyard hole. Maybe a lower bolster as well. I'm also thinking Polished blade and Black leather sheath.

I like to carry each knife for a few days to use it/critique it etc.
I still need to find someone local to make a black leather sheath for it.
I can't keep em all Ha!

That is a very cool knife mate. What style of sheath are you thinking?

I'm thinking a black sheath, sandwich style, maybe an inlay or subtle stamping.
