Gettin' Jiggy With It - Jigged Bone Photos

Unfortunately it came with a broken secondary, but this WWII era Camillus sword brand is still pretty nice. Great action, great patina and amazing jigged covers. I’m planning on deleting the broken secondary for a Bose Zulu pattern look, but might change my mind if I can scrounge up a good pen blade replacement.

Did you do the file work on the sodbuster
Thank you. The K’Roo is unbelievable. I still can’t believe I scored this one. IMG_8972.jpegIMG_8962.jpeg

No I did not do the filework on the sodbuster. I found it for sale on the slip joint addicts group on Facebook. When I asked seller about who did the filework he said he got it that way and didn’t know who did it either. Love this one too. IMG_4754.jpeg

Wow, that K’roo is gorgeous! 🤩 I wonder what he calls that filework pattern, all the negative space in it is just incredible! I like the slight changes he made in the shield pattern as well, I hunt for arrowheads occasionally and that’s much more true to form for a classic archaic side notch projectile.

I picked up one of the latest 1095 sodbuster juniors, made a couple small changes including filling the cover pin holes with some buffalo horn (salvaged from an old dog chew lol).

Those are incredible. Love that Camillus Sword Brand. Do you do the blade deletes yourself?

I plan to! Never tried one before, definitely going to practice on some worse ones first, I’d hate to crack the covers on that nice old bone. No drill press or anything either so it’ll be hand-peened pins if I can pull it off!

Good luck. Excited to see the results!

P.S.
The Fort The Fort
& waynorth waynorth

It was great to find out that this old Winchester is from the same year I was born! All it needed was a little bit of light cleaning & not forgetting to "Oil The Joints" 😉

The pics don't do these knives justice. You have to see & handle them in person. Not only do they have a great fit & finish but the old Rogers jigged bone is something else.
They look almost black in pictures, but in the sunlight it really comes alive & it shows all the details along with the rich colors!
