I just bought a 1978 Gerber mark II , and saw some slight discoloration marks from being left in the sheath, any ideas on how to get it out without damaging the blade?
That sounds like something from a science fiction haiku.

Gerberblades, I also recommend Flitz. It's a good metal polish. When steel gets stained, it's a form of corrosion, similar to red rust, but less destructive. In fact, this patina will offer some protection from rust.
Nevertheless, when the staining is localized, rather than an even coat all over the blade, I can understand wanting to clean it.
