Got a belt and buckle question.

I've used grommets in belts in the past with no ill effects, if that's what you want to do I would say go for it. If we are going to plug quality makers I'm going to put in a vote for Andrews leather. I bought a sharkskin belt from him 5 or 6 years ago and it still looks like brand new. The stuff wears like iron

Aw heck I spend time, energy and thought on belts all the time:

Like why didn't this one stitch !@#$%$#@&* right? Turned out it was bad thread!

Sometimes a guy has to work to match the sheath he built too:

Or ya can go it alone:

Or not alone:

Sometimes ya have to think about the colors even:

Hurts my head all the thinking I do about belts sometimes! Seriously though Hickory n steel Hickory n steel if I can be of any help during your project don't heisitate to ask. Any luck on finding a quality blank?

@gonebad395 speaking of Levis I just recently picked up a leather Levi jacket at one of their outlet stores. I sure like it and its quality work. Didn't even know they made leather jackets. Think regular Levi jacket but in a brown Napa type naked leather. I wanna wear it at the ranch but the wife won't let me!

Really pretty work. On that first one, I'm still trying to figure out why that stitching went sideways on you. I assume these are machine stitched? It's almost like in that one section you flipped it over and stitched it from the other side. I'm sure you didn't so I'm puzzled. I'll bet it was a pain pulling that back out and redoing it.

Worse than that. Went about there quarters and had to pull all the stitching. Tried stitching it all again and fiddled with that and fiddled with this and did some more fiddling and it just didn't work. Now I'd just done a belt literally right before that was absolutely perfect:

But white thread, the sheath was sewn on a different machine. So switched back to white and voila:

Course I completely rebuilt the sheath and the belt cause after trying to sew it several times just didn't have a lot of leather left.
