What two colors do you mix to make orange?
Our friend Wiki says: You can't make them by mixing any other colors. Orange, green and purple are the secondary colors. A secondary color is made by mixing two primary colors. For instance, if you mix red and yellow, you get orange.
Okay, that's basic knowledge. I'm wondering that if I have orange dye, will the gray base throw off the result. Ie, you can dye things darker, not lighter. Is orange "darker" than gray?
Probably not a real vibrant orange. Personally what I would try is get it as yellow as you can, then add some red dye instead of going with orange dye from the start. Since the yellow with make it as bright as it is gonna get, the red will make it slowly turn into a darker and darker orange hue. I might be wrong in my thought process here though.
