Normally I don't comment on anything offered on eBay until the auction is over, but this is an excellent item. If any of you have a real historical interest in the Gurkha Regiments this a photo that holds vast amounts of information and worth having.

Pictured are a group of 3rd Queen Alexandra's Own Gurkha Rifles taken around 1876-77 by Samuel Bourne. Both the National Army Museum and the Gurkha Museum have large format versions of this great picture that feature uniform and weapon details. This is very rare in that the two figures on the right have pulled their sheathed kukris from their frogs. The Snider Rifles and other kit are also well depicted.
