LOL! :D I am more like The Six Dollar Man! :D ;)

How's everyone doing? Cold here again today, 21F when I left the house. I was well-wrapped up. Down at the market, it was very quiet, with a lot of the traders taking the day off, and most of the punters staying at home too. Our visitors were limited to Long-suffering Shirley, who brought us some doughnuts, and Wolfie, with whom I went for a coffee. The cold weather had not stopped him and his missus going for a swim at 5am, and while he admitted it was cold, he rationalised their madness by informing me that it was a tropical 7C in the water! I don't know what that is in Old Money, as Wolfie's generation are on Metric and Celsius πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ We had some bad news in the afternoon, I'm afraid, Barry The Original Ted suffered a stroke in the week. He lost consciousness, and was not discovered for an hour. The ambulance then took another hour to arrive. It is very unlikely he will regain consciousness :( Bearing in mind the average age of the Tool Stall regulars, it's surprising we don't get this sort of sombre news more often :(

Barry, last year

Wolfie was pleased with his gift

Rotten news about Barry, Jack. Prayers to him and his family.

Bad news. The white stuff is here 😭

Hope you get another mild winter Paul :) That's a cracking shot, your Lamb is ageing beautifully - I am envious of that! :D;)πŸ‘
Sorry to hear about Barry πŸ™

The weather has turned to winter here as well, we got about an inch or so of snow yesterday. It's a bit icy walking today and I was a bit nervous about slipping. I've been helping my good friend and neighbor who broke her ankle the other night. She slipped on a wet kitchen floor. Looks like she will have to have surgery on it next week.

Very appropriate gift for Wolfie ! πŸ‘

Sweet !
Thanks mate, he had a good run, and was still bright and bouncy last week - and still able to have a bop
Good day Guardians !

Thanks a lot fellers :) Barry's missus has not been well for a while, and he has been expecting her to quietly pass away for the last 6 months :(
Afternoon Guardians. It's brisk out there but the sun is shining bright 🌞 J Howarth πŸ‘

I was supposed to have a bunch of work this week, an online meeting tonight, and a trip away this weekend. All have been cancelled, and I'm not in the least bit disappointed! :D Tomorrow night, I'm off for posh curry, beer, and a movie with Matt, and I can stay out until late if I want! :D I think I'm going to stick with L'Ariete tomorrow :)

Thanks Duncan, Barry was so sprightly that it was easy to forget how old he is - 83 - Except he'd tell you every 5 minutes! :) We're all going to miss him :(

Thanks David :) In their heyday, Howarth's were on Bath Street in Sheffield, which is where my mother grew up, during WW2
Good idea Jack! πŸ˜‹πŸ‘
Evening all
Quiet Friday night beverage. Trying 1 from the home of DuncanπŸ˜€

& Kristy's little bottle of bourbon
I hope you're having a nice evening Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone's week has been OK. Still cold here, and some of the snow we had at the beginning of the week is still around. I was chewing on what was supposed to be a soft caramel yesterday, but the weather had turned it into toffee, and it quickly cost me a dental crown πŸ˜– So, that's another thing I need to add to my 'To Do' list  Hope everyone has a good day

Thanks Mitch :) That sounds great to me :) Yeah, you're not kidding mate, I'm thinking of getting some Turkey Teeth! :D You too mate

It's thick with ice outside, and quite dangerous to walk. I made it to the bottom of my street, only to realise I'd forgotten my wallet (again) πŸ˜– I decided to walk back home using an adjacent street, which gets more sun, and road traffic. Think I might give it another half hour before going out again, and hopefully the sun will have melted a bit more of the ice
