My new H.J. Schneider Chute Knife No. 276-6k arrived today! I took a few pictures of her. I hope you enjoy!

For anyone who is curious, I found some old information on the knife I used to own (No. 274-6k) which was made in 1974. Naturally, this one would have followed shortly after, making this knife nearly 40 years old! I'm going to do more research and see what kind of history i can put together...
 
Herm was one of the earlier custom makers to use 6K.
That is a special and most attractive piece...!

Indeed he was! I have been keeping my eyes open for something similar since I sold my 6k hunter I had before. Glad I found this one!

I'm awaiting details from the seller, but it appears to be sheep horn. I'm going to get in touch with Herman and see what information he has available.
 
fabulous knife from a great maker. never been able to find what I want at the price that I deem to be right but I keep looking too.
