Re: An old stlye C42P Howard Viele with the number 759 stamped on the bolster(?)

Does that mean this knife is one of the first HV's (1st thousand?).
If so... were all those initial knives stamped with their own individual number... or did they all share this same number?

I believe the answer you are looking for is yes. The first 1000 knives are numbered, with the first 200 going to collectors. Stores see the rest, selling to anyone.
