Happy father's day!!!!

Clock is ticking, did the bundle of joy beat the buzzer?
My first was born on Christmas Day and my Third was born on Good Friday that year. The 2nd just messed up bow season but I still love him. If you think that’s odd it keeps going. Sister was New Years Eve, Mom was Thanksgiving that year, Nephew is Halloween, and a Cousin is New Years Day- same year as my Son’s Christmas birthday.

No matter what we’re all wishing you the most important part, happy and healthy.

I miss my father quite a bit. He passed over a decade ago, but he will always be one of the most incredible role models I've ever had.

He gave up everything to escape Vietnam with his 8 month pregnant wife (my mom) and a 1 year old baby (me). He paid an exorbitant amount of money for a ride on a packed boat to Malaysia to escape a war torn country. They lived in a refugee camp for 9 months with barely any food until a church from the US sponsored us to come over. When we arrived in the US, we literally just had the clothes on our backs.

I can't even imagine the amount of sacrifice and faith you would have in order to leave everything behind to make sure your family had a the best future possible. Then to find work and establish a life in a country where you didn't understand a single word of the language.

I'll raise a glass to him with my brother and sister.

Congrats Dan. Glad to hear that all is fine with Mom and your new Son. If a name has already been chosen and if the DOB in on June 17th coinciding with this sub's BD, it is only right that a middle name to be chosen from a forumite's name/handle. I nominate Yoko! 🤣
 
Shiv Yoko Gnome would be quite a formidable name…and persona! 😂😂😂

My wife said I got the middle and last name of our first born son, and I get the last name of this boy, too, so she got to choose his first and middle names. Both honor her Turkish heritage and her late maternal grandfather.
We are both very happy.
