Ours was good. Our mom is by herself, but likes to host the meal. So we went over there, gave her a hand, and enjoyed a nice meal. I'm sure she appreciated the company. Ate too much, of course.

That's sad the John couldn't be home for the holiday, but I'm sure he'll make up for it when he does get home.

pretty quiet here - I spent the afternoon building a portable playpen out of cypress scraps and hardware cloth for SWMBOs 10 week old puppy.

I'm stuffed. Did some cooking today.

We got together with family, it has been awhile since all of us got together. My brother in law smoked some brisket and pulled pork instead of turkey and it was good with all the other stuff we had. The next day we cooked salt fish over an open fire, got smoke in my clothes and had a good time. Then we helped rake leaves over the weekend, and watched some football. Lots of fun and enjoyed the blessing of time with family.
