Heat coloring Ti

I've been heat coloring Ti with a torch nice bright tiedye effect on the chopsticks and hair sticks, but the color seems to fade why and is there anything I can do to make this not happen? I havent even used the chopsticks just held them it's not dirt I wipe with accetone and no dirt. Any help is appreciated
