I said central Florida, but to be more specific I’m right next to Clermont. It would help to be a tad more specific than "Florida". Florida is a very long state, Miami and Tallahassee are 500 miles apart.
I appreciate the offer but I just spoke with Buck’s heat treating service and will be sending them there.I’m just outside of Miami, if you get in a bind, I can put them in my even heat. We’ll figure out what temp, AKS says 1500-1550 for the cruforge, and 1545-1615 on the 80crv2. I’m not a professional, I won’t be able to hardness test it, all I have are the files, but if you get to a point where you need them hardened, let me know. You can temper them when you get them back.
Awesome, was really hoping you’d find a pro. Didn’t want to ruin any of your work.I appreciate the offer but I just spoke with Buck’s heat treating service and will be sending them there.
Thank you everyone for your help, It is very much appreciated!
